Terms of Service

Welcome to MelonTag. By registering and using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please review them carefully.

1. Description of the Service

MelonTag is a B2B SaaS (Software as a Service) platform designed for inventory management in educational centers and institutions. We provide a web panel and a mobile application to register, audit, and manage the life cycle of physical assets through the generation and reading of QR codes.

2. Account Registration and Obligations

• Eligibility: The service is intended for institutions, educational centers, and businesses. By registering, you confirm that you have the authority to bind your organization to these terms.
• Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activities that occur under your account. All staff to whom you grant access (staff, school_admin roles) will act under the responsibility of the registered organization.

3. Plans and Payments (Freemium Model)

• Starter Plan: MelonTag offers a free base plan ("Starter") limited to 50 assets and basic features, subject to change according to our commercial policy.
• Paid Plans: Subscriptions to the Professional, Institutional, and School Network plans will be billed monthly or annually in advance.
• Limits: The use of the service is subject to the asset quotas (QR quotas) of your plan. You will not be able to create or print QR codes beyond your assigned limit without upgrading your subscription.
• Renewal and Cancellation: Subscriptions automatically renew unless explicitly cancelled.

4. Acceptable Use of the Software

You agree NOT to use MelonTag to:

• Upload or transmit illegal, defamatory, or malicious content.
• Attempt unauthorized access to backend systems, databases, or accounts of other tenants.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our web or mobile applications.
• Use the platform in a way that exceeds reasonable API usage limits or saturates our servers (DigitalOcean).

5. Intellectual and Industrial Property

All code, design, logos, interface, and architecture of MelonTag (including the App and the Web Panel) are the exclusive property of MelonTag. The client retains absolute ownership at all times of all data and information (inventory, incidents, loans) entered into the system.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

The processing of personal data (including emails and usernames) is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Limitation of Liability and Warranties

MelonTag is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the service active and error-free, backing up information regularly, but:

• We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or 100% error-free.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, MelonTag will not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruptions arising from the use or inability to use the software.

8. Modifications to the Terms

MelonTag reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify school administrators of significant changes via email or through a notice in the control panel. Continued use of the service after such changes will constitute your consent.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals that legally correspond.
